I haven't pissed anyone off for a while so......

Ok. I wasn't going to post about this but I decided by not posting about this crisis of epic proportion, I would be doing the entire world a disservice.

I don't know how many people who read my blog are on Facebook, but I barely know anyone who isn't so I'm going to guess most of, if not all of you visit Facebook at least from time to time. If this is the case, I'm sure the majority of you are aware that Facebook has changed their format a few times. I'm GUESSING they did this to make it more user friendly in the long run, but I'm not a millionaire so I don't know for sure. I'm also guessing that they did NOT change the format to make everyone's life extremely difficult which is apparently what is happening to a great number of people out there.

There are now a number of Facebook groups that people are joining with names like, "OH MY GOD FACEBOOK IS RUINING MY LIFE WITH IT'S NEW FORMAT" or "I'M A FUCKING IDIOT AND CAN'T ADAPT TO CHANGE". Ok, I made those names up but it's still a pretty good representation.

I would like to take this opportunity to say to all those people out there who are SO upset that this FREE social networking site is changing it's format and destroying their lives: Quit your fucking whining already. Seriously. Is it really that bad? The same basic idea is still there. It's even the same colour. So what if they've moved some shit around? You seriously don't think you'll get used to your profile button being on the right side instead of the left? Really? And they even added new things. NEW things. For FREE!! Jesus. You would think they were charging you $50.00/month to use the site or something.

The best part is that people are "threatening" to "cancel" their subscription. To what? To a free website? Do you think they fucking care? Billions of people all over the world use Facebook, the majority of which will probably get used to the catastrophe that is this new format.

I really think that if your life is so mundane that the fact that Facebook changed it's format causes you to go ballistic with fury then you really need to read a newspaper. Where are the groups opposing Steven Harper cutting arts funding? I've maybe seen one. Where are the groups opposing hockey moms as potential Vice Presidents? Where are the groups opposing the Beijing Olympics because of their human rights violations?

Now, I'm not saying that everyone should use Facebook as a political forum but, come on, pick your battles people. There really are more important things to get upset about.

P.S. I do realize that I just negated my own point by getting upset about the people who are getting upset but I really don't care.

I was one of those people ticked-off about the change, but dang it, you've totally proven how ridiculous of me that was. You're right. It's free, and there are much bigger things to worry about. I think I can manage to suck it up and others should, too.

Ky also belongs to the "I can't adapt to change" group.

I like the new changes. But again, who cares!
