Does anyone wear eyeliner anymore? I was putting on eyeliner today and I wondered if I was the only person in the world who still wears eyeliner. It wouldn't be the first time that I've missed the fashion memo.

This past long weekend was spent by me and a couple of friends in a tiny town three hours away from where I live. There was an outdoor rock concert there and I thought that going to an outdoor rock concert would be a good way to spend my long weekend. And, what do you know? I was right.
It wasn't the best musical lineup of all time, or really even close, but it was still fun. I saw Hells Bells(ACDC cover band, really good), Faber Drive(Pretty ok), Harlequin(super old) and Trooper(very awesome and totally underrated).
The best part of the trip was staying with my friend's Ukrainian family. They are super nice people and totally welcomed me into their brood with open arms. I decided this weekend that the next time I get married it will be into a Ukrainian family(I can't believe I just wrote "the next time I get married". Depressing.) Oh my goodness do they eat well. The second we walked into the door I was inundated with food and booze. Every meal was a feast. I ate so much I'm seriously still full. Plus I got dishes full of leftovers to take home. If I lived there I could safely say I would weigh 200 pounds.
I would have to say the highlight of the visit was when my friend's brother asked if I'd ever killed anything. No? Would I like to shoot a gopher then? No? Oh, ok.
I can honestly say I have never been asked that question.

I would never leave home without my eyeliner and mascara, and I am the most non-make-up person I know so that's saying something....
Eyeliner is still in but you're only supposed to wear it on your top lid now, same with mascara - according to the makeover shows. You know, I'm such an expert - the four times a year I might wear makeup. But when my boss paid for me to get a makeover, she's very girly and I'm sooo not, that's what they said too.
