I'm awesome, but also sometimes not.

My personal training practical exam was today. And I totally kicked some practical exam ass. This was after I realized that I hadn't gotten the most important part of the study guide and almost had a stroke. So I studied like mad last night and didn't sleep because everything was running through my head. And then I got there and realized that I probably didn't really have to study at all. But that's ok because I did learn a lot of stuff.

What we had to do was bring in a partner who was also doing the test and we would take turns being the trainer and the client and our instructor would ask us to demonstrate exercises and properly spot them and he would ask questions about which muscles are working and stuff.

After I had completed my first "trainer" session he asked me if I already had a job training and I said yes and he asked me how long and I said almost 2 weeks and HE said that if he would have had to guess he would have said I had been doing it for about a year and a half! And I was like NO FUCKING WAY!! or maybe just thank you but it was really a great feeling to hear that from someone who is not only a really good instructor but also a well known trainer in Ontario. I know I'm tooting my own horn here but I really don't get to do that very often or, really, ever so I'm going to take full advantage of it.

And why don't I get to toot my own horn very often? Because as soon as I got home, rather than actually phone or even email my friends, I posted that I got my certification on Facebook and Twitter. And then Twitter fell apart or something because my post never got posted and I was like WTF Twitter? Now only my Facebook friends know! How are my friends who are only on Twitter going to find out?! HOW!?? And then I was like, fuck, I wish I could just somehow amalgamate all my friends into one social network so I didn't have to post my news so many places and there was always the danger of the post getting lost and then what do I do? And then I thought why don't I just fucking phone my friends because I actually do have a phone and a voice. And then I was like, nah, I'll just blog about it.

Fuck I'm lazy.

How do we communicate without social media - I don't want to actually 'talk' to someone - yuck!

Congrats! You are a superstar!

You can set Facebook to update your status every time you update on Twitter.

Oh really? How so? Though I'm actually considering cutting my Facebook time back severely. There's too much information on the news feed now. I don't really want to know which musical symbol my friends are or where they should be living. Nor do I really care. I would like to know how to do that though....just in case...
