Money changes everything

For the whole time I've been a personal trainer, so 8 days now, I've been trying to think of something about me that would make me different from the other personal trainers. What is my niche so to speak. At first I thought I would be the really nice one and then decided that wasn't really that realistic.

Then one day(Monday)my boss and I were talking about the programs my gym offers and she brought up the Learn to Run Program for Beginners and said, hey don't you run? And I said, I do! I DO run! And so was born, my Learn to Run Program for Beginners. I'm so pumped about it I can't even tell you. I made this huge poster board thing to market it with construction paper and stickers and cutting and gluing and stuff and I HATE crafts of any kind and this was completely a craft and the end result didn't suck!

So I put up my board today and I also bought this cool blue bowl and filled it with apples and printed a sign that said "treat yourself" and then printed out labels that said "Sign up for a free personal trainer consultation" and my name and email and stuck them like little flags onto the apples with toothpicks. Isn't that creative?! What the fuck right?! I don't do those things. I detest crafty things and mostly ruin them. Ask people. I'm not lying. I was once invited to a crafty ladies craft afternoon with crafts and was never invited back because I ruined everything I touched.

My point is, well, actually I don't have a point. I basically just wanted to brag about all my cool ideas. I'm pretty proud of myself.

Also, I get paid for the learn to run club and hopefully people will sign up for some personal training courses and, the best part about that is, instead of laying awake at night having panic attacks because I don't have any money, I'll actually sleep instead. Imagine that. And maybe I could move out of my brother's house. Which is sort of a priority right now. And maybe I'll stop having nightmares every night and waking up feeling like I'm going to puke. I really have no idea what that's all about. But maybe they'll stop if I have money. Money changes everything doesn't it? Cyndi Lauper wouldn't lie.

Today I used my airmiles to purchase a Shell gift card so I could put gas in my car. Good times.

I do really like my job though so I'm not complaining. Except for the majority of the post where all I did was complain. Except for that. I think I would just love it more if I worked more than one hour a day. For more than $12.00. Yeah, that would be awesome.

I guess, on the positive side, when your goal is to work for more than one hour a day for more than $12.00 an hour, the only way to go is up.

Your crafty ideas are brilliant. I am so proud.

Hey, remember that time you hosted a crafty day at your house? And we watched Christmas stuff? We didn't throw you out.

Of course, we didn't let you touch anything either.

Yes, I do recall being the only one who didn't actually do crafts. I did get a really cool elephant from Lyn though so that pretty much made up for the exclustion. That and the fact that I didn't have to do crafts but could still watch Christmas movies. Watching TV is where I excel.

I think that was a pretty cool idea, with the apples, and now on to more serious matters:

What does a learn to run program entail? Do you lock them in a room with a 1/4 mile track and a rabid dingo?

Did anyone complain because you put out a display of apples that you had stabbed to death?

Why does it seem that all my bloggy peeps know each other and get to hang out in person, and I am out of the loop?

Oh yeah, one more thing:

I am stupid broke, and it has just come to my attention that you have recently come into possession of twelve dollars that maybe I could borrow?

Cyndi Lauper doesn't lie. Money DOES change everything, & girls DO just want to have fun.

It's a fact.

Imnotbenny:
-I'm going to blog more about the learn to run program so you can look forward to that.
-So far, no one has accused me of apple cruelty.
-The next time you're in Oakville we can hang out and then you can feel like part of the group who I never see anymore because I have no friends here. We'll have to do free things though because I already spent my $12.00...on more apples. I'm hoping it was a good investment.

Wilma: I think I love you.

Everyone: I know I can't spell.

that's awesome that you found your niche! Sucks that you're all the way out there because I have been looking for a learn to run program and now am stuck with the Running Room. Ah well - still awewome for you!
